After taking a year off in 2017, Julia joined up with #songaweek2018 and is writing – surprise – a song a week this year. Both weeks 6 and 7 have turned out to be Cabin of Love songs. Here they are:
From our snow-topped cabin to yours, season’s greetings, peace, joy and love!
Just a quick update that we have moved back to Minnesota after four fun years in Colorado. We’re getting settled into our new home in Saint Paul, undertaking a complete kitchen renovation, replacing the boiler and water heater, etc. etc. . . . BUT yesterday our friend Kirk came over for the first of what we plan to be a weekly Monday afternoon rehearsal, and we look forward to getting back into performing around the Twin Cities and recording at home in the not-too-distant future (next Sunday AD?!) *Geek points awarded to the first person to comment with the source of that little gem 🙂
Here’s a video we made with Kirk a long time ago (in a town not that far away):
Just scheduled, we’ll be performing at LoCo Artisan Coffee in downtown Loveland, Colorado, next Saturday February 11th, 6-8 pm.
The address is 544 Cleveland Avenue, just across the street from the post office (Valentine Station!).
This is the high holy weekend in Loveland because it’s the weekend before Valentine’s Day which means it’s also the Fire and Ice Festival! Make a day of it, check out the ice sculpting, breweries, other live music, art galleries . . . then settle in for hot drinks and cozy music with us, just a small jaunt off the main drag.
Here’s Julia’s song for week 50 of #songaweek2016. With Nathan on slide guitar.
Happy holidays 2016 from the Bloom family and assorted animal companions!
Julia’s song of the week for week 48 of #songaweek2016 was written in honor of my dad, whose birthday it is today. He’s my biggest fan and a giant inspiration in my life, a loving dad and Pop-pop, a thoughtful, passionate, faithful human being. And I’m immeasurably grateful for him.
